The Swan Lake North Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Project will be built in Klamath County, approximately 12 miles northeast of Klamath Falls. This will be a closed-loop system, with two new reservoirs constructed for the project. Approximately 14,000 acre-feet of water will be exchanged between the two reservoirs on daily basis. Using four reversible pump-turbine units, the project will have the capacity to deliver 1,000 megawatts of electricity for up to ten hours a day.
